(Nguyen Ngoc Minh – class 11A)
On Tuesday and Wednesday last week, grades 10 and 11 had interesting experiences in Thanh Hoa. That morning, we woke up early to prepare and leave. After 4 hours on the bus, I finally arrived at Thuong Xuan Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, a middle school.
In the afternoon, after listening to the principal’s welcome speech, we participated in many interesting games. We divided five corners: Science, Fine Arts, English – Language, History – Geography, and Hiphop. The classes of Thuong Xuan school took turns visiting each corner that we had prepared during the past week. For example, in the science corner, children would participate in interesting experiments of putting mentos in coke, sticking a needle into a balloon, or folding an airplane. The two schools then played volleyball with each other very lively and enthusiastically.
At the end of the program, we watched the unique musical performances from the students and teachers of the two schools, most notably the bamboo dance performance that was enthusiastically responded to by everyone. We learned a lot through the experience at Thuong Xuan school that day, especially the discipline and loveliness of the children who surprised and admired me. Towards evening, we moved to a place to stay for the night at a romantic mountain homestay. We also organized a super fun karaoke competition with laughs and unforgettable memories.
The next morning, many people got up early to pull cassava. We set off to visit the village on a tree-lined road with fresh air after having breakfast. At the end of the trip, we took a boat across the river, which was relaxing and safe. After this trip, we have gained many unforgettable experiences and memories. Thank the school for organizing such a meaningful trip for us.
