Understanding the concerns and confusion of SenTians, especially high school students like me, the school’s Career & University Department has connected with Education USA and organized a Workshop: Funding Matters – But Where to Find Them for International Students, to learn about the financial journey when studying abroad in the US.
During the workshop, SenTians learned how to learn about scholarship programs and financial support sources that top US universities provide for international students. Not only did we gain theoretical knowledge, but we also engaged in practical activities to research scholarship programs that best matched our needs, abilities, and personal interests. Many of our questions and concerns were addressed, and experts provided valuable advice.
Through the workshop, I discovered that we can easily access a wealth of reliable information using the smart devices we carry daily. We practiced strategies for using effective keywords to find detailed and accurate information online and even explored the option of reaching out via email.
I gained a lot of valuable insights from the workshop, and I am also eagerly waiting for the next consultation sessions organized by SenTia, where we are one step closer to achieving our dreams of studying abroad!
