Leaving the bustling city behind, our Grade 2 SenTians embarked on a journey to the peaceful countryside of Ba Vi. It was a day filled with exciting hands-on lessons and “sweet” memories.
The most impressive stop was the honey bee farm. SenTians explored the “kingdom” of diligent bees as they witnessed the entire honey production process in real life.
The children excitedly observed how the bees build their hives and produce honey. They watched with bated breath as the honey was spun in a centrifuge, producing streams of golden, fragrant honey.
After the tour, everyone enjoyed the pure sweetness of raw honey and sipped on refreshing glasses of honey lemonade.
The adventure continued as the little ones transformed into real “gardeners”:
– Hand-picking fresh, organic vegetables straight from the garden.
– Using their freshly harvested ingredients, SenTians prepared their own delicious spring rolls, savoring the rustic flavors of the countryside.
– A special dessert feast featured fragrant jackfruit and bunches of ripe yellow bananas freshly picked from the trees in the orchard.
The trip has come to an end, but the sweet aftertaste of honey and the fresh scent of Ba Vi’s greenery will surely linger in their memories. These “hands-on” encounters with nature are the best way for SenTians to gain new knowledge, life skills, and a deeper appreciation for the value of labor and the gifts of nature.
See you on our next bright journeys of discovery!
