From High School to International University: When the right path becomes the “key” to unlock future opportunities

Rate this post

Sunday morning, April 19, at SenTia, the Talkshow “Pathway from High School to University” welcomed parents and students from both within and beyond the school community, offering practical guidance on how to build a strong academic pathway starting as early as Grade 10.

Opening the journey to address these common concerns, Ms. Ngoc Quyen (MA), Educational Partnership Development Manager at BUV, shared valuable insights from the perspective of an international university. Through modern admission standards, parents and students gained a clearer understanding of the skills and attitudes that should be developed during high school—not only to gain admission, but also to confidently integrate into a global academic environment.

Following these professional insights, the session became more relatable and inspiring through the real-life story of Nguyen Quang Minh, recipient of the 100% Valedictorian Scholarship at BUV. To achieve this remarkable milestone, Minh successfully stood out among more than 800 outstanding applications nationwide. His honest sharing about strategies for building a strong academic portfolio and his journey to impress the Scholarship Committee provided meaningful motivation for younger students striving to turn their dreams into reality.

Alongside these real-life experiences, Ms. Dinh Hong Diep, SenTia Career Guidance Specialist, helped families untangle key challenges in early academic planning. With deep dedication as an education professional, she emphasized that self-understanding and long-term goal setting form the essential foundation for building a personalized learning pathway—one that aligns with each student’s abilities and passions.

A special highlight of the program was the presence of Professor–Dr. Rick Bennett, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of BUV, officially announced exclusive scholarship opportunities dedicated specifically to SenTia students, further opening pathways to international university education.

This event not only delivered valuable insights into academic pathways and scholarship opportunities but also marked an important milestone in the growing partnership between SenTia and British University Vietnam (BUV)—creating expanded international learning opportunities for SenTia students in the future.

SenTia sincerely appreciates the participation and support of parents and students who made this meaningful conversation possible. Let’s take a look back at the memorable moments through the photos below!
