The recent field trip to Astro Kids Park was truly an unforgettable adventure for Sentia’s Grade 2 students! From the early morning, even though the weather wasn’t quite ideal, every child wore a bright smile and carried a tiny backpack full of excitement and curiosity.
The day began with an exciting water rocket challenge! The rockets — made from simple materials like plastic bottles and tape — suddenly came to life as the young “astronauts” learned how to launch them and competed to see whose rocket could soar the highest and farthest.
Have you ever looked through a telescope? Our students’ wide-eyed wonder said it all — gasps and exclamations filled the air as they observed distant objects up close for the very first time!
The teachers also guided the children through a fascinating exploration of the solar system, helping them learn about the planets and the mysteries of space. To wrap up the day, each student crafted their own sundial — a timekeeping invention that dates back over 3,000 years BC — and proudly learned how to tell time using sunlight.
This trip was more than just a lesson about science and space — it was a journey filled with laughter, learning, and wonderful memories shared among friends and teachers.
