A truly unique world emerges through the lens of our Grade 1 SenTians: a place where sounds dance, natural phenomena tell their own stories, and every leaf or flower carries its own touch of magic. This is the “world” that our little ones explored and shared in the interdisciplinary project “The World Through My Eyes.” Over four weeks of discovery, students delved into three major themes: Natural Phenomena, Music & Dance, and Plants. With curiosity and excitement, their classroom knowledge was brought to life, becoming vivid and wondrous.

The students shared their world through innocent and creative language. They created “profiles” of various dances, musical instrument riddles, and 3D “Fire and Water Diaries” filled with vocabulary, stories, and poems, alongside heartfelt writings about their “Dream Garden.”
Phenomena like fire and water were viewed through geometric shapes, helping students recognize and connect mathematical concepts to reality.
Beyond making wind chimes, students built models and conducted experiments such as the water cycle, mini water filtration plants, and volcanic eruptions, making complex concepts feel close and accessible. They also showcased their “green thumbs” by practicing different planting methods.
This was a space for creativity, where students crafted 3D indoor decorative trees, expressive “Fire and Water” paintings, and colorful artworks inspired by rhythmic dances.
The children created unique handmade instruments and explored the mechanics of sound. Moving beyond just listening, they recorded their insights into “dance profiles” and delivered captivating performances for their grandparents and parents.

The children’s magical world was further showcased through English-language presentations:
Through an English play, SenTians confidently took the stage to tell the story of a vibrant fruit garden—a harmony of colors, flavors, and rich nutrition. Each fruit represented a unique piece of the puzzle with its own beauty and value, just as each child is special and cherished in their own way.
Our “little MCs” also delivered lively “Four Seasons Weather Reports,” from warm Spring and radiant Summer to gentle Autumn and chilly Winter. In English classes, this world continued to be nurtured through charming paragraphs and poems about dancing (with lyrics expressing confidence: “I can do anything and I can always do better if I try”) and their dream gardens.
Through this project, the students gained precious life lessons: “Always be confident in yourself, respect differences, and live in harmony with everyone. Music and dance have connected us, keeping us healthy and helping us make many new friends!”
We invite parents to look back at the emotional moments from the journey of discovering “The World Through My Eyes” with our SenTians!
