In celebration of Earth Day, our SenTia’s Spelling Superstars playground recently exploded with thrilling, intellectual, and vibrant English competitions featuring our Primary SenTians!
Across 5 rounds of competition, SenTians continuously “accelerated” through a variety of challenging games:
– Missing Letter: Young “detectives” showcase their skills by finding missing letters to complete vocabulary words.
– Word Scramble: Students take on the challenge of rearranging scrambled letter cards to form correct words based on visual cues.
– What’s the word?: Children observe images and quickly write down the exact vocabulary words described by the pictures.
– Spelling Bee: SenTians apply creative thinking to generate as many meaningful words as possible about upcycling from a given set of letters.
– Word Relay: Teams participate in a thrilling “Spelling Relay” as they race against time to assemble individual letters into complete words.
– Crossword: Students demonstrate their broad knowledge by successfully decoding challenging crosswords based on provided images.
In addition, the children watched short films about the environment, nature, and humanity, from which they drew valuable lessons on protecting nature and wildlife.
– Congratulations to the outstanding classes that shone brightly and won in each grade:
– Grade 1: Class 1A2
– Grade 2: Class 2A1
– Grade 3: Class 3A3
– Grade 4: Class 4A3
– Grade 5: Class 5A3
The competition was not only an opportunity for students to practice language reflexes and teamwork skills but also a way to raise awareness about the Earth through engaging vocabulary and puzzles about our ecosystem.
