SenTia School is incredibly proud and thrilled to announce that Nguyen Khanh Han, a 12th-grade student, has been awarded the prestigious Global Scholarship worth approximately 7.2 billion VND in Finance at Tulane University, one of the top universities in the United States. This remarkable achievement is a recognition of her academic excellence and a testament to her hard work, perseverance, and passion.

In addition to Tulane University, Khanh Han has received several valuable scholarships from other renowned universities:

– University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill: Accepted for admission

– Union University: Scholarship of around 750 million VND/year

– University of Massachusetts Amherst: Scholarship of around 400 million VND/year

– University of St. Thomas: Scholarship of around 900 million VND/year

– Temple University: Scholarship of around 500 million VND/year

– Rhodes College: Scholarship of around 900 million VND/year

– Drexel University: Scholarship of around 700 million VND/year

– DePauw University: Scholarship of around 1.1 billion VND/year

– University of Georgia: Scholarship of around 500 million VND/year

To stand out in her application, Khanh Han wrote a powerful 500-word personal statement about her experience with period pain and the societal pressures on women today. She spoke out against the judgment surrounding ordinary issues faced by women. The topic was inspired by her experience visiting the obstetrics and gynecology department for a check-up. Her supplementary statement covered a completely different subject, an online gambling scam, while also mentioning her future career path and the importance of financial education for students.

Khanh Han’s achievements go beyond impressive numbers, such as her SAT score in the top 3%, an IELTS score of 8.0, and numerous academic accomplishments. Her scholarship journey is a long story of growth and holistic development at SenTia School. From her first days at the school, she became known as a dynamic, energetic student. As the first female student to receive a 100% high school scholarship, she continued to leave her mark by becoming the first President of the SSC (SenTia Student Council). The image of Khanh Han enthusiastic on the football field, practicing with the school band, or tirelessly supporting club activities has inspired many of her peers.

Reflecting on the scholarship application process, Khanh Han shared that it wasn’t easy balancing her life, managing clubs both inside and outside school, maintaining good health, and excelling academically. “But I always feel fortunate to receive encouragement, support, and companionship from everyone. Especially the SenTia community members, who always bring me positive energy, allowing me to comfortably connect with classmates, younger students, teachers, chefs, gardeners, and everyone around.”

The full scholarship to Tulane University is not only a well-deserved reward for Khanh Han’s efforts but also the gateway to a new journey for her to further develop, expand her knowledge, and experience an international learning environment.
