After diligent studying and midterm exams, SenTians had the opportunity to relax and enjoy joyful moments in a vibrant Camping Night – a lively camping event right at school. Being part of this fun atmosphere was a wonderful gift that all of us had been looking forward to.
We had the chance to experience some interesting workshops. One of them was the “Bamboo and Rattan Weaving” workshop by artisan Nguyen Dinh Sang from the Phu Vinh Bamboo and Rattan Craft Village, organized in collaboration between the Nguyen Hue Specialized School’s Student Council and SenTia. This was a very special experience as we got to try our hands at a traditional craft passed down through generations, feeling the skill and patience required to create items from bamboo and rattan. Next was the “Soul Understanding” workshop, where we used cards with thought-provoking questions designed to help us dive deeper into our emotions and thoughts, like a journey of self-discovery.
In addition, we couldn’t forget the tempting food stalls, such as the Milo stall by the DECA Club or the refreshing ice cream stall by the SSC. After enjoying these treats, we joined in some fun, engaging games. For instance, the “Pizza” game, where each class would become an ingredient, and the students will play the role of chefs who have to go find those ingredients. Or the “Guess the Song” game, where we had to guess the song title without using words.
The highlight of the Camping Night was the thrilling ghost story that Ms. Hang – our Fine Arts teacher – told us in the girls’ room at the end of the evening. I will remember the final camp night – an unforgettable memory during my time studying at SenTia!
