SenTians achieve outstanding results in the 2026 IGCSEs examinations

According to the latest results released by the OxfordAQA Examination Board, students in SenTia’s International Dual-Diploma Programme have achieved outstanding results across all four subjects in the June 2026 International GCSEs examinations, held at SenTia.

Business Studies: 100% of students achieved A–A*

This result demonstrates not only students’ strong grasp of subject knowledge, but also their ability to think commercially, analyse situations, evaluate options, and apply their knowledge to real-world contexts.

Science: 100% of students achieved AA.

This impressive result reflects students’ increasingly solid scientific foundations and demonstrates the development of their logical thinking, analytical skills, evidence-based reasoning, and scientific problem-solving abilities.

English as a Second Language: 58.3% of students achieved A–A, while 41.7% achieved B.

These results demonstrate the steady development of students’ academic English proficiency – an essential foundation for continued learning and accessing knowledge in an international educational environment.

Computer Science: 50% of students achieved A, while 50% achieved B.

This is a noteworthy milestone in students’ development of computational thinking, technological competence, and problem-solving skills – capabilities that are increasingly important in today’s rapidly evolving world.

A special highlight is Benjamin Nguyễn Rutherford, a Grade 10 IGCSEs student, who achieved two outstanding Grade 9s in Business Studies and Computer Science. This achievement follows his Grade 9 in Maths in the November 2025 examination, demonstrating his consistent and sustained academic excellence across multiple subjects and examination sessions.

Under the OxfordAQA grading scale, Grades 8–9 represent the highest grade range, corresponding to A–A*, with Grade 9 equivalent to an A*. These grades recognise students who demonstrate exceptional academic ability and an outstanding level of achievement against the requirements of the examination.

The results of the June 2026 OxfordAQA International GCSEs examinations mark a proud milestone in the academic journey of SenTia students. They are also a reflection of the students’ sustained effort, perseverance, and commitment, together with the dedicated support and guidance of the teachers in SenTia’s International Dual-Diploma Programme.
