Last week, the SenTia U17 football team embarked on an emotional journey, where the resilience and relentless spirit of our SenTians were fully showcased at the St. Paul Classic.
As one of the largest high school football tournament in Hanoi, the event gathered formidable teams from renowned schools, including: British International School (BIS), St. Paul American School, Japanese International School (JIS), Vietnam-Australia School Hanoi (VAS), and Westlink International School.

Leading up to the tournament, the U17 squad faced a disappointing loss against St. Paul. However, it was that very challenge that sparked an impressive “transformation” in our SenTians.
Mr. Dylan Hillion (Physical Education Program Manager) shared: “What happened next was truly impressive. The team showed incredible resilience and unity. When we faced St. Paul again in the semi-finals—the same team that had beaten us heavily just a few days before—our students stayed disciplined, kept their faith, and delivered a fantastic 1–0 victory.”

Entering the final against VAS, SenTia faced an early setback, conceding a goal in the very first minute. Nevertheless, with calm heads and strong cohesion, our “warriors” staged a spectacular comeback to win 3–1, proudly bringing home the championship trophy.
Notably, SenTia was the only team with female players in the squad. They played a vital role in the team’s overall success.
Congratulations to our SenTia “warriors” for such a courageous and inspiring journey!
